Q: Do you do any servo systems?

A: Yes we have done servo systems on ControlLogix PLC, Lenze position controllers and Control Techniques Unidrive SP systems. We feel that these systems are excellent for ease of maintenance and support. The plc can also be used to control peripheral plant. Backups, interlocking and monitoring axes are necessary for most servo systems.

Q: What PLC's do you do?

A: We have used all types of PLCs. Rockwell's CompactLogix or ControlLogix and Siemens S7 PLCs Mainly. Mitsubishi PLC's and Omron PLC's have been used to a lesser extent.

Q: What networks do you do?

A: The networks used were DeviceNet, AS-Interface, Profibus DP and Ethernet/IP. Ethernet/IP networks should be kept separate from the main the main Ethernet factory backbone. This ensures that the control network can be isolated from internet attacks. If they must be connected great care must be taken such as Firewalls etc.

Q: Whose HMI's do you use?

A: All types of HMI's Beijer's (Mitsubishi), Proface and PanelView+. However as the learning curves for most of these systems are pretty intuitive then all are considered.
